The role and mission of the Coalition is to coordinate medical activities, training, response efforts, and resources of regional Southeast Kentucky Healthcare Coalition members in a crisis event. The Coalition seeks to improve the region’s ability to provide emergency medical care, and treatment of casualties resulting from natural or man-made disaster, including biological, chemical or radiological incidents that may result from war or terrorism. The Coalition seeks to ensure the continuation of healthcare services in the event of disaster situations or catastrophic events in our communities.
